Planning is underway for the 26th annual Martha’s Vineyard Hospital Community Health Fair, which is scheduled for Saturday, April 11, 8 a.m. – 12 noon at the hospital. There are 36 vendors and 14 hospital departments who have signed on to participate. Please note if you’re planning to visit the fair as a guest – and we hope you will – we would appreciate you parking in one of the side lots to leave the front lot open for Emergency Department patients.

Here’s some of what you can expect on April 11:

• A Tick Talk featuring hospital and community experts discussing Alpha-gal Syndrome will be held at 8:30 a.m. and again at 10:30 a.m. in the Community Room.
• Chair Yoga will be held upstairs in the maternity waiting area at 9:45 a.m. and 10:45 a.m.
• Check your cholesterol (Free lipid panel blood tests require 8-hour fasting prior to screening)
• Blood pressure, oral health screenings and more
• Vendors and hospital staff sharing their expertise on health and fitness
• Bring the kids to get an inside look at an ambulance
• Lots of free giveaways and a chance to win prizes by getting a card stamped
• WMVY will broadcast live from the fair
• The MVH cafe will be open to purchase breakfast and we’ll throw in a free coffee, tea, or fountain drink
