We have an exciting program planned for you at the Martha’s Vineyard Hospital Community Health Fair on Saturday, April 5, 2025, from 8 a.m. to 12 noon. We have partnered with more than 50 community organizations to bring you what we anticipate will be a wonderful event. We will also have some exciting giveaways. Here are some of the highlights:
- Check your cholesterol (Free lipid panel blood tests require 8-hour fasting prior to screening)
- Check your blood sugar
- Check your blood pressure, hearing, and more!
We also have some great experts lined up to speak:
- 8:30 – 9:15 a.m. – “All You Ever Wanted to Know about Alpha Gal
- 9:30 – 10:15 a.m. – Breast Health and Advanced Screenings
- 10:30 – 11:15 a.m. – “Medicare Advantage 101”
The event will be the “kick off” for the Island’s Community Health Needs Assessment. This once every three-year assessment informs community funding and health care priorities for the Island. Anyone who fills out the survey will be entered into an opportunity drawing to win prizes donated by our vendors.

Need a ride?
The VTA will be providing a free shuttle service for adults 60 and older to the MVH Health Fair. This is a great opportunity since parking is limited on the hospital grounds. Please note that pickup times are approximate.
- 8:30 a.m. – Pickup at Oak Bluffs Council on Aging
- 9:00 a.m. – Pick up at Vineyard Haven Council on Aging
- 9:00 a.m. – Pick up at Edgartown Council on Aging
Please note, you will be able to get a ride back to your COA from the Health Fair from 10 a.m. to 12 noon as the shuttles will be running all morning. This is a great chance to try out a new transportation option available to older adults on Martha’s Vineyard. Call your COA to sign up as there is limited capacity. Register soon!
